A great weekend for Blackhorse Kawasaki, in which Victor Cox scored a top six finish in Round 7 of the Metzeler National Superstock 1000 Championship at Snetterton, began with the exciting news that Victor has been awarded a wild-card ride in the World Superstock 1000 Championship round at Silverstone on the weekend of 30th July-1st August.
Victor produced
a brilliant
ride from the third row of the grid at Snetterton. The Blackhorse Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R was also the first
Kawasaki
home in the race.

The wildcard accolade at Silverstone is just rewards for the talented 24 year old from Trowbridge, who currently lies tenth in the Metzeler National Superstock 1000 Championship and is justifiably acknowledged as one of the rising stars on the domestic scene. Victor is relishing the chance to pit his skills against the world's best and will as always receive every support from the team to enable him to do so.
It's the second time this season that Blackhorse Kawasaki will take it's place in the Silverstone paddock amongst some of the world's best riders. Back in June, two rounds of the Metzeler National Superstock 1000 Championship acted as premier support to the British Grand Prix with the team acquitting themselves admirably on that occasion as Simon Andrews rode to two fifth place finishes.
The forthcoming race itself will attract immense worldwide media interest as the World Superbike Championship circus arrives at the Northamptonshire venue after a two year absence, and this is indeed great news for Victor, the team and its sponsors.
Also in the colours of Blackhorse Kawasaki at Silverstone will be the Isle of Man's David Pearce who resumes his Metzeler National Superstock 600 campaign after missing the Snetterton round through injury. The Silverstone race is rescheduled from the postponed event at Oulton Park earlier in the season.

Southern 100
Ian Lougher was second in the opening night's Senior Race at the Southern 100 on the Isle of Man where he pushed Michael Dunlop all the way in the damp conditions, and in doing so set the fastest lap of the race at 101.933mph.
Wednesday evening saw Ian finish sixth in the 600/1000cc event.
Ian had a disappointing day on Thursday. He had to retire from the 600cc race just as he was about to pass Ryan Farquhar for third place.Whilst in the Superbike race, the rear wheel of the Ninja ZX-10R locked up as Ian was going into the first corner on the third lap. Ian had led the race in the early stages and was lying fourth and just about to pounce on Cameron Donald for third place when again he was forced to retire from proceedings.

Before heading to the Isle of Man for the Southern 100, Ian was very much in the thick of the action at the two-day Cock o' the North meeting at Oliver's Mount, Scarborough.
On the first of his two visits planned for the North Yorkshire venue this season, Ian came away with five third place finishes, a fourth and one fifth......Report

Blackhorse Kawasaki's BSB Superstock 1000 Championship rider Conor Cummins is making good progress after various operations to repair his TT injuries.
After
some hard days and weeks in both Nobles and Royal Liverpool Hospitals,
Conrod is now well on the road to recovery. His marathon back operation
in Liverpool and arm repairs are healing well and he is back in Nobles
hospital in the Isle of Man. He's happy to be back on 'the rock' as he
calls it where his family and friends can visit daily and keep him 'in
the loop'.
Conrod has even returned to the racing scene,
attending the Southern 100 on Thursday 15th July to cheer on his dad
Billy, who was competing at the Castletown meeting. Conor can get around
on crutches for now but his next big hurdle is knee surgery on 10th
August, back in Royal Liverpool hospital.
The operation will hopefully repair the damage to the knee, which will then require intensive pyhsiotherapy to regain full movement. Conrod is determined to put in the hours in the gym and he's certainly dedicated to his sport, that's for sure.
A
spokesperson for Blackhorse Kawasaki commented: "The 2010 Senior TT was a real mixed bag of
emotions for the team, elation with Ian Lougher's fourth place
finish followed by stunned concern for Conor following his crash on the
second lap.
Although he wasn't riding for us at the TT, Conor is an extremely popular member of the Blackhorse Kawasaki family on the BSB Superstock 1000 scene. He has a long road ahead of him but his BSB Superstock 1000 berth in the team remains his as soon as he feels ready to return. We will all support Conor wherever possible and everyone in the team sends him our very best wishes."

Ian Lougher
rounded off his Isle of Man TT with an excellent fourth place finish in
the Blue Riband Senior TT event. It was just rewards for the popular
Welshman following some determined performances earlier in the week
which included two top ten finishes.
In recent years the Isle of Man TT has become only Ian's second race
meeting of the season and the 2010 event once again saw him competing
at the highest level with three top ten finishes from five starts and a
fastest lap 128.22mph.
Ian Lougher: "Overall I was pleased with my performances during the 2010 TT
races.
The 600 unfortunately was a bit down on speed and we tried to
find a good set-up for the Superbike which is very difficult on such a
long demanding course as the TT circuit. The racing has become so
competitive and to be in the top ten in three of the races is no mean
feat.
I had a few eventful moments during the Senior TT race with the
big bike doing its level best to pitch me off at the top of Bray Hill
and Union Mills and a bird also had an argument with the screen of my
ZX-10R up on the mountain section.
But to finish fourth in the Senior TT was a
very pleasing result which was overshadowed somewhat by Conor's crash on
the second lap. Thankfully he is 'ok' and we all wish him well. The TT
is very much a big team effort at Blackhorse Kawasaki and I would like
to thank everyone involved for their hard work and support throughout
the fortnight."
